The JIM Show - Game of the Year Argument 2013 - Season 2 Episode 31 Part Two

Continuing their discussion from part one, Jack, Daniel, and Jeremy debate what game should be their GOTY pick for 2013. Harsh words are exchanged and irritation levels meet unexpected highs. Basically it is almost an hour of barely coherent ramblings about why other people's opinions are wrong (AKA the best debate of all time). Enjoy!

Music this week is the Song of Storms inspired 'Soggy Carousel' by worldsbestgrandpa. Check out this artist's soundcloud to hear more bluegrass-y takes on video game music!

After an extended hiatus involving mono, babies, and a possible homicide, Jack, Daniel, and Jeremy return to discuss their individual top five games from 2013! Daniel makes good points, Jeremy weasels in additional games onto his list, and Jack gets grumpy after being interrupted a record number of times.

Music this week is the Dark Cloud 2 inspired 'Fishing Spirit' by Moomba. More great music like this can be found over on OCRemix.org. Head over there and check out a place flowing with musical talent!

The JIM Show - The Top 10 Games of the Generation Debate - Season 2 Episode 30 Part Three

After listing off their individual lists of the best games from the past eight years, Jack, Jeremy, and Daniel get down to brass tacks and hash out a single list. Words are said, tempers flare, but eventually a list is formed. What will be The JIM Show's official top ten games of the generation?

Are you a fan of the galaxy map music from the Mass Effect series? The tasty track this week was inspired by that galactic tune! Titled 'Full Paragon' by the talented Psycho Crusher. More great music like this can be found over on the OCRemix.org. Head over there and check out a place flowing with musical skillz (that's right, with a z).

Since it has been several weeks since our last official giveaways, which were plagued by technical issues, we've decided to give away three games this week! The titles up for grabs are Starbound, Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. What do you have to do to be eligible for one of these fine titles? Just leave a comment on the Game Informer blog or a review over on iTunes (heck, if you could even subscribe to us if you feel inclined)!

The JIM Show - The Top Ten Games of the Generation - Season 2 Episode 30 Part Two

Here it is at long last: Our top ten games of the generation podcast. In this portion, each of the three hosts states their personal top ten list, along with their reasons, along with one honorable mention. In the upcoming part three, Jack, Jeremy, and Daniel compromise, bribe, and in some cases swindle, their way toward a single, definitive top ten list for the generation.

What games will come out on top? Listen to find out!

Music this week is inspired by the widely unknown NES title Chojin Sentai Jetman. Titled 'Itsutsu no Chikara' by Magellanic. More great music like this can be found over on the OCRemix.org. Head over there and check out a place flowing with musical talent!

The JIM Show - The Hobbit: The Desolation of Friendships - Season 2 Episode 30 Part One

This week the gang are back with an absolutely GINORMOUS episode that was so big it might even be a three part episode (kinda like a certain trilogy of films to which the title of this podcast may subtly allude). In part one, Jeremy, Daniel and Jack talk about the latest Hobbit film, what it does well, its faults, and why exactly Peter Jackson is making The Hobbit into three films.

Prizes for this episode will be announced when the final part is uploaded!

The JIM Show - The Future of Telltale Games' Block Heaters - Season 2 Episode 29

This week the show opens with a heated discussion about Heet and block heaters. The gang eventually moves on to discuss Tearaway; Far Cry 3's depictions of race; the trainwreck that was the VGX show; and the how Telltale games will be making games in the future.

Music this week is the Sonic Boom inspired 'Take It All The Way' by the incredibly talented Magellanic and features a great performance by PROTO·DOME. The track is just a part of the latest OC Remix album, Temporal Duality, based off of the differing soundtracks of the North American and Japanese versions of Sonic CD. The album, as with all remixes that can be found on OC Remix is completely free and probably a collection of some of the finest work the site has put out to date. More great music like this can be found over on the OCRemix.org. Head over there and check out a place flowing with musical talent!

This week we are giving away a copy of Brothers A Tale of Two Sons to someone who leaves us a comment or review on either our new iTunes page or our Game Informer blog. Want to win a fun (and apparently buggy?) adventure? Then get commenting!

*Retraction: Minnesota totally has Heet for gasoline tanks, Jack just had a brain fart and forgot.

The JIM Show - One Thanksgiving to Remember (with Community Guest Chris Mrkvicka) - Season 2 Episode 27

Jeremy, Daniel, and Jack return this week to talk about the Xbox One, however, since they lack both the machine and the expertise, the gang calls upon Game Informer community member and general gaming smart-guy and Xbox One owner, Chris Mrkvicka (pronounced merk-wich-kah). Chris gives his opinions on the launch line-up and most notable features of the Xbox One, while the rest of the JIMS team farts around talking about PS4 games and older releases. As always, everyone has a pretty great time.
