The JIM Show - David Cage Is M. Night Shyamalan - Season 2 Episode 23

After a brief (and unintentional) hiatus, the crew is back to give their thoughts on David Cage's history in the video game industry as well as sit around talking about... things.

For those of you unaware, the JIM Show is supporting Extra Life, an annual video game marathon event that benefits Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. There will be a livestream of the Game Informer marathon as well as tons of related giveaways and raffles for people who tune in and/or donate. It is going to be a great time so we encourage everyone to show up, donate, and have fun!

The music this week is from Baldur's Gate and is titled "Hero of the Heartlands." By the fantastically talented Scott Buckley, this orchestral arrangement kicks all kinds of mythical fantasy tail. Speaking of Baldur's Gate, this week the JIM Show is giving away a free copy of Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition to someone who leaves us a comment or review on either our new iTunes page or our Game Informer blog. Want to win a classic PC game? Then get commenting!

The JIM Show - Improv Generation Roast Part 2 - Season 2 Episode 22

In the second part of what will surely be known as the Great Game Roast of 2013, Jeremy and the gang poke fun at Gone Home, Halo, and Nintendo. Really, though, they mock because they love... most of the time.

The music which opens this episode is from the chiptune soundrtrack of the NES classic 1943: The Battle of Midway, composed by Kumi Yamaga. You can download the chiptune soundtrack in full here. The closing music is titled 'See Ya Space Cowboy' by Tuberz McGee. It was featured on the OverClocked Remix album Be Aggressive! A Gunstar Heroes Tribute Album. If you haven't played Gunstar Heroes, you are really missing out. The hectic, frantic action is perfectly balanced to provide maximum fun and minimum frustration! Back to the music, you can find this song, along with tons of other great, free, video game-inspired tracks on OCRemix.org!

This week we are giving away Mars: War Logs to someone who leaves us a comment or review on either our new iTunes page or our Game Informer blog. Want to win an interesting game? Then get commenting!

The JIM Show - Improv Generation Roast Part 1 - Season 2 Episode 21

Finally, the gang is beginning to get back up to date on publishing new shows (kind of) on time! In what was going to be a normal episode, Jack, Jeremy, and Daniel throw their meticulously crafted cue cards to the wind and decide to have an impromptu roast of this ending console generation's greatest games. They all took so wildly to this idea that it ended up being two episodes long... So they made two episodes out of it! Hope you enjoy the ranting!

The music that closes out this episode is from the chiptune soundrtrack of the NES classic 1943: The Battle of Midway, which was composed by Kumi Yamaga. You can download the chiptune soundtrack in full here, but it will take a bit of finagling to get it to play in a conventional player. If you can find it elsewhere it is definitely worth listening to in full.

This week (and this time we will actually have a few days between episodes) we are giving away Mars: War Logs to someone who leaves us a comment or review on either our new iTunes page or our Game Informer blog. Want to win an interesting game? Then get commenting!

The JIM Show - Grand Theft Steam Box - Season 2 Episode 20

It finally happened. Grand Theft Auto V is here. However, only one of the gang has played it. Thus, the trio talks about Rockstar in general, voices opinions on the game itself, the future of the franchise, and the bombshells that Valve dropped during the week. (This episode was recorded before the announcement of the Valve controller, but fear not, it shall be talked about another time.)

The music which is used to end this week's episode is titled 'Tough It Out!' by DaMonz and Trainbeat. It was featured on the OverClocked Remix album BadAss: Boss Themes: Volume II. The album is a great tribute to those dastardly, wily, and all-around nefarious ne'er-do-wells that populate our games. You can find this song, along with tons of other great, free, video game-inspired tracks on OCRemix.org!

This week we are giving away Deus Ex: Human Revolution to someone who leaves us a comment or review on either our new iTunes page or our Game Informer blog. Want to win a great game? Then get commenting!
